Description of The Old Chapel
Originally built in 1856, The Old Chapel was formerly a Presbyterian church located at the entrance to the picturesque village of Bellingham. This stunning Victorian property has since been sympathetically converted to create unique accommodation with every effort made to maintain the buildings integrity and style. The massive living space has a high vaulted ceiling, a beautiful rose window in the gable end and tall lancet style windows giving an ambience of grandeur. The wooden floors are scattered with Persian silk rugs. A library/dining area has a cosy wood burning stove to snuggle in front of and the kitchen is very well equipped.A winged staircase leads up to the original pulpit and an open galleried bedroom area overlooks the living space. This sleeping area boasts a solid 4 poster bed positioned in front of beautiful stained glass windows and has en suite bathroom facilities. From the kitchen there is a winding wooden staircase which leads down the turreted gable to a snug/second lounge/dining area. Three further bedrooms and a bathroom complete the picture.
